So, guys, the fighting choreography of the show is derived from martial arts. Chinese Martial Arts serve as the background for the fighting styles and weaponry of the show. For Airbending, the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender show referred to Ba Gua; Northern Shaolin for Firebending; Tai Chi for Waterbending; and Hung Gar for Earthbending. In order to make everything very perfect and closer to reality, the creators of the show hired Sifu Kisu of the Harmonious First Chinese Athletic Association as a martial arts consultant. There are four bending arts, which are taken help from namely for the bending styles namely Water, Air, Fire and Air.
Here is what do all these mean? Water means benevolence and adaptivity; Earth means strength and stability; Fire means intensity and passion and Air means peace and harmony.
